This page covers jeremiahfisher.net and everything under it: the tools, the games, the weather map and the arcade. It is written in plain terms rather than legal ones, and it is short because the site genuinely does very little.
There are no accounts on this site, no newsletter, no contact form that stores anything, and no analytics of my own. I do not know who you are, how many of you there are, or which pages you looked at. The only company receiving anything about your visit is Google, through the advertising described below.
Several pages save things in your browser's own storage. This stays on your device, is not sent to me, and is erased when you clear site data:
This site carries Google AdSense. Google may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, and Google's own advertising privacy information governs that. I do not receive the data it collects; I only see aggregate earnings.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised advertising runs, and declining is as easy as accepting. Declining means you see non-personalised ads rather than none.
The arcade at /voro is the one part of this site that sends anything to a server. When a run beats your previous best, the score, a three letter tag you choose, and a random anonymous account id are written to a database and shown publicly on that game's board.
Your name is never published, even if you sign in with Google. The three letter tag is the only name a board ever shows. Signing in with Google does exactly one thing: it lets your scores follow you from your phone to your computer. Guest play creates an anonymous account with no email, no password and no prompt, and anonymous accounts unused for 30 days are deleted.
Because that board is public and anyone can reach the database behind it, the arcade also uses Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to check that a score is being posted by a real browser rather than a script. It runs only when you sign in or finish a run, never while you are just looking at a page, and it sends information about your browser and how you interact with the page to Google for that check. The weather pages load radar, satellite and model imagery directly from public sources including NOAA, the National Weather Service, Iowa State University, RainViewer and NASA. Your browser talks to those services directly, so they see your request the same way any website you visit does. Nothing about your location is collected by me, and the map does not ask for your location unless you press the button that does.
This site is a personal portfolio and is intended for a general audience. The arcade is aimed at players aged 13 and over. No part of this site asks for a name, an age, an email address or a photograph, and there is nowhere to post text that other visitors can read.
